| Detailed Information Easy to install, these patented shower trays are made uniquely from a birch ply and are guaranteed for 25 years. This incredibly strong and versatile wood product is highly resinous and, once tanked, is completely waterproof. Indeed there are companies now making bath tubs from the same material. For the installer, the ply trays have many advantages over other alternatives: the wood construction means they are lighter and easier to handle and they can be readily shaped, on site, to fit even the most awkwardly shaped or out-of-true rooms Once fitted they can be screwed freely in to position. There are design benefits too: our level access shower trays are only 24mm thick. Alternatives such as foam building boards are thicker and must be cut into the floor or have a step up into the room, making it more difficult to create a level showering area. Your budget will also benefit as our shower trays are competitively priced when compared with other types of level access, wet room, shower trays. Trays are supplied ready to lay on any substrate including timber, screed and floating floors, and are supplied with standard gravity waste. |

| Planning and measuring-up a wet room floor |

There are four measurements needed to manufacture a wet floor tray (or former, as it is known in the trade). The measurements needed are:- A = width of tray B = length of tray C = centre of waste from length edge D = centre of waste from width edge It is also possible to form a larger tray with a sloped shower area in combination with an outer flat zone, in this case you need two extra dimensions, shower area width and shower area length. |

Waste Outlet It is recommended that the outlet be positioned in the centre of the tray (or sloped area), if this is not possible (as there might be a joist or other obstruction in the way) it can be positioned off-centre. If the outlet is near a joist allow at least 150mm from the edge of the joist to the centre of the trap. On larger trays it is important to position the trap as near the centre as possible. the waste gulleys supplied are purpose made for wetroom floors. with top access trap and membrane clamping ring they are capable of handling 46Lpm. This should be more than adequate for most showers, however if the mixers being installed will deliver more than this, it will be necessary to upgrade to a larger trap that is capable of 60Lpm. |

Made-to-Measure Service Our made-to-measure shower tray formers are individually made to order. Any size former up to 4.41 sq.m., with one of our stainless steel tile sets, can be ordered from our online store. If the waste is to be fitted centrally then you can give us all the information we need online. If the waste is to be off centre then you need to supply us with a simple drawing. You can send this to us by email, fax, or post. We can produce a former to fit just about any shape of room imaginable. We supply formers with different corner angles, flat areas and even curved edges. For any formers requiring custom shaping or for alternative waste options, you will need to contact us for a quotation. The current delivery time for shower tray formers is 5-10 working days. Please ensure that all measurements we receive are correct as we can not refund any payments once the order has been processed. |

Standard Sizes We currently supply a choice of 8 standard size formers for level access showers. These will normally be available from stock and will be delivered within 2 to 5 working days.
